Message from Ryohei Yanagihara
AWI Tax Consulting is a Japanese tax and accounting firm specializing in services for foreign-affiliated companies and non-Japanese founded by Ryohei Yanagihara in November 2023.
Considering the declining birthrate and the aging population in Japan, economic growth can hardly be expected only with the domestic population, products, and capital. It is thus vitally important to attract human resources and investment from overseas. However, Japanese tax laws, stipulated in Japanese, can be difficult for non-native Japanese speakers to understand, which might discourage investment.
We are a professional firm aiming at society contribution through the provision of accurate and clear tax/accounting services to foreign-affiliated companies and non-Japanese, thereby facilitating investment in Japan.
Some Japanese tax laws are based on concepts unique to Japan and are sometimes difficult to explain even in Japanese, but we will continue to work with the policy of "Act With Integrity" so that we provide high-quality services to our clients.

After graduating from Waseda University, she worked at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. and Bridgestone Corporation. After a period of childcare leave, she joined AWI Tax Consulting. At our firm, she utilizes her English skill for bookkeeping and tax return preparation of foreign-affiliated companies. With the expertise gained through her work, she is committed to delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Kaori Maruyama
She worked at Nomura Securities Co.,Ltd. and Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd. for 11 years in total. After a period of childcare leave, she gained accounting experience at another accounting firm before joining AWI Tax Consulting. At our firm, she is engaged in bookkeeping for domestic small/medium-sized companies and foreign-affiliated companies. She does her work with care and integrity.
